An Algorithm to Predict the Possible SARS-CoV-2 Mutations

An algorithm to determine the possible mutations that can occur in S protein responsible of Covid-19 humans is designed. To do that, nine tridimensional sequences available Protein Data Bank similar initial strain sequenced Wuhan (December 2019) are identified. The conditions driving this potential mutation are: (1) an accumulated number greater than (or equal to) 5 each position; (2), a cumulative value different variations Gibbs free energy less -2.0 Kcal/mol; and (3), squared fluctuation 1.6 Å obtained according calculations for normal mode analysis based on anisotropic network models (ANM) after averaging first 20 vibration modes. result 491 positions mutate, while 424 did not provide any mutation. Finally, results reveal there cannot be predicted, so more studies needed why they present human population.
